About H.I.G.H. Day
Heart's In God's Hands

PURPOSE
HIGH Day exists as an affordable, multi-family Co-op (WHAT IS A CO-OP?) to encourage and equip home school families in a Christ-centered (STATEMENT OF FAITH) environment by:

* Providing a safe and nurturing environment for our families with other like-minded families
* Fostering a life-long love for learning
* Offering fun and creative enrichment activities (SEE OUR SCHEDULE)
* Sharing gifts, talents and resources
* Developing meaningful and lasting relationships
* Encouraging other home schooling families as they seek to honor God through the training of their children

WHAT HIGH DAY IS
* High Day is a Friday morning gathering at a central Orlando area location.
* It consists of 2 11-week sessions beginning in August and ending in April.
* It includes activities and enrichment classes for children from kindergarten to grade 12. (Nursery & pre-K activities are available for younger siblings.)
* It offers classes taught by parents and skilled guests in a grade-level format.
* A variety of classes are available to allow interests and abilities to flourish.
* HIGH Day blesses families by drawing on the unique skills of adults not necessarily available in every home school (ie: arts, unit studies) and providing activities dependent on the large group for success (ie: gym, drama, choir).

WHAT HIGH DAY IS NOT

HIGH Day is NOT a school, a for-profit group, or a drop-off day care. One parent is required to stay and participate as teacher or helper every HIGH Day.
* Core subjects will not necessarily be covered, except in the high school program at the request of parents and the discretion of the high school coordinator
* HIGH Day does not purpose to fill in core academic gaps. The purpose is for enrichment.
* We do not provide legal and official accreditation.

HIGH Day is not a church.
* Members need to be spiritually fed at the local church
* We recognize parents as the spiritual authorities in the lives of their children and therefore will not seek to promote doctrine or theology that may be controversial but will leave that to the parents.
